Pros:
The event grounds were excellent, and parking was widely available. They even had real bathrooms!
The vendors were selling some great food, and interesting items. Our favorite by far was Uflagz, a small business that makes rear view mirror flags with a twist. To show the world the diversity that makes up all of us, they make flags from anywhere from one to flour nations. I got one with an Irish and a German flag, and my wife got one with a U.S. and Cuban flag (her parents) and a Dominican and Puerto Rican flag (her grandparents). Check them out here.
The entertainment we did see was pretty good. The dancers were talented and showed a wide varety of dance stiles from Peru.
Cons:
The amount of entertainment was pretty small for such a big event, and the literature wasn’t real clear where anything was. We searched for some things and never found them. They also don’t have a website and only communicate through Facebook and other third party websites, which is bizarre. A few of the really good things (like the drinks in real pineapples) had lines so long, they weren’t worth waiting for.
Recommendations:
It’s cheap to attend and a lot of fun. It’s a great way to spend an afternoon and get some great food and people watch!
